Each row is one colony number on this day — a stock, a daily flow, or an outcome. The range beside it is what that number could be once every other number on the day is taken into account.

Type a value into a cell to pin it (lock it to that value); every other range immediately re-tightens around your choice. Pinning an outcome (such as deaths_cum) back-solves what the inputs would have to be. The engine does all the arithmetic — these numbers are its answer, not the page's.

First move: try pinning the highlighted cell below (ration_fraction — how much of each person's need is fed that day) and watch the food, deficit, and death ranges move. Then hit Commit… to see what would change against canon.
